The statement sets down Go Shop Local’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small. Staff are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them. 

Business 

This statement covers the business activities of Go Shop Local as a provided of personal services apps. Go Shop Local currently operates in the United Kingdom only. Go Shop Local sub-contracts drivers and delivery operative and enters into commercial arrangements with food outlets and other services providers. The Go Shop Local will assess any concerns brought to our attention about any service provider, outlet or driver/delivery operative who may be in, or may be involved in organizing, exploitative business relationships. We will then take whatever action is reasonably justified by our findings. 

High Risk Activities 

We are not involved in high risk activities and our business activities are limited to the United Kingdom, and to our reasonable knowledge, so are the activities of those with whom we have business dealings.

Training

To ensure a good understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, we may undertake training from time-to-time as is considered prudent.

Go Shop Local is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains. We may in time as the business expands develop further, more detailed policies. For now, this Statement affirms our intention to act ethically in our business relationships.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking 

Go Shop Local is a third-party referral platform. Therefore, we do not undertake extensive due diligence when entering into new business relationships with those who offer services via our platform, as that would be inimical to the purpose of the platform. However, we will reactively act on concerns raised by others or matters noticed by us and we may as the business expands develop our policies and practices further in this area.
